A soccer star has been born in Canada and now, the Japanese soccer club is looking to have him join its team.
The soccer star is not Japanese and he was born a couple of years ago in Canada, but he’s a Canadian citizen.
The club said in a news release that the Canadian born player, called the “Canadian Soccer Star,” is the first player from his country to play for its professional side.
“This is a great day for Canadian soccer,” said Canadian soccer federation president Peter Hines.
“We are extremely happy for the opportunity to play with the Canadian Soccer Star.”
The news release also said the player is being sponsored by the Canadian Sports and Entertainment Authority and that he will represent Canada in the World Cup of 2018.
The news came in a tweet from Canadian soccer star Jordan Morris.
