United States Soccer Federation (USSF) announced Thursday that the organization’s FSCB, the national governing body for all national and international professional soccer leagues and competitions, will be shut down for the next two years.

The decision is a blow to the sport’s professional players and the fans who supported it.

In its statement, the FSF said it had “found the current and potential impact of the closure of the FSBB to be devastating.”

The FSFB’s two-year operating agreement, which ended in 2019, provided for the FSCBs ability to operate in a “limited capacity” during the closure.

According to the FSA, the two-fold impact of this decision is that the FCSB will have fewer funds to invest in its players and coaches, and the FSSB will be forced to sell out games in the first two seasons.

“The FSB was the foundation for the growth of professional soccer in the United States,” said U.S. Soccer CEO Sunil Gulati in the statement.

“The closure of that foundation will be devastating for the sport of soccer in this country.

It will force the FUSB to look at other venues in order to continue its success.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the many stakeholders in the Fussball Club and its fans for their continued support, and I hope that this decision serves as a catalyst to ensure the future of the sport for many years to come.”

United States Soccer also thanked its fans, who provided the FFSB with the financial backing it needed to keep running for another two years under a different operating agreement.

The United States soccer community will not be silenced, but the FSMB will continue to serve as a beacon of hope and support to all our players and fans, said Gulati.

It is an incredible privilege to lead a sport that is so committed to its players, and we will continue our efforts to bring the sport back to the U.D.  With this announcement, the United Americans soccer team has made it clear that they will not accept this decision from the FSUB.

US Soccer is committed to providing a safe, supportive environment for all its players.
