Sunrise soccer team has raised more than $30m to open a new stadium in Toronto, the Toronto Sun reports.
The Toronto-based company has also been granted the right to build a new soccer field in the city.
Sunrise has secured the funding from the Ontario Soccer Association, Ontario Hockey League and the Ontario Provincial Government.
Sunset soccer club is in discussions with several private investors to build the facility, which will seat up to 400 people and feature a capacity of about 800.
Sunrises goal is to build an expansion franchise, the Sun reported.
