New England’s newest MLS franchise, Solar Soccer, has agreed to a two-year contract extension with its owner, Brian Chastain, according to a statement from Chastad.
Solar is scheduled to play in the league in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
The new deal will pay Chastidain $1.5 million in base salary and $1 million in bonuses, the statement said.
Chastaddins first MLS team, New England FC, was founded in 2015.
Chastad told ESPN FC earlier this month that the team’s lease with MLS was up after the 2019 season.
Chattanooga FC, the city-owned team owned by Tennessee Titans owner Jimmy Haslam, is scheduled for an MLS debut this season.
