    A fire broke out in a soccer club’s clubhouse in Manhattan early Friday, officials said.

    The blaze was reported around 5 a.m. at the Manhattan Sports Club, which was located on the 900 block of East 34th Street, Fire Commissioner Richard Hayes said.

    Firefighters and firefighters on the scene said they tried to fight the fire with a ladder, but were unable to do so.

    A firefighter wearing a helmet and breathing apparatus was treated for smoke inhalation.

    He was taken to St. Luke’s Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition, Hayes said, declining to release his condition.

    No injuries were reported.

    No arrests had been made.

    A spokesperson for the NYPD said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
