A bondurant sports club, Farmington Soccer Club, is poised to buy one of the Detroit football teams for $1.8 billion.
The Detroit News reports that the Detroit Soccer Club will buy the Lions from the team’s owner, former Lions owner Martha Ford.
The newspaper says the club is seeking a new stadium, a new venue and a new owner.
The report says that the sale price for the Detroit soccer team is not yet finalized.
The Lions currently play in the East-West Shrine game, the same game that was the site of the 1994 World Series.
The club was founded in 1882.
